DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

No, you don't need to bring anything. We recommend floating in the nude, you will be provided with a changing room fitted with a shower, towel, shower products, ear plugs, tissues and make-up wipes. We also have an area with hair dryers and a hair straightener.

However feel free to bring your own items that may cater to your individual needs such as a comb, brush, make up.

DO I NEED TO PREPARE BEFORE FLOATING?

Avoid having caffeine or stimulants 4 -5 hours hours prior

  • Ensure your hair colour runs clear if coloured. You CANNOT float if you have had a colour within 2 weeks.

  • You CANNOT Float if you have fake tan on your skin

  • Don't shave or wax beforehand as your skin may become irritated

  • Have a light meal a couple of hours before floating

  • You CANNOT FLOAT if you have Dreadlocks, as the natural oils cannot be removed from the hair easily

  • Please remove any Jewellery prior to floating

CAN I FLOAT IF I AM MENSTRUATING?

NO…… Menstruation will cause contamination which will leave you liable for a $1000,00 fine.

CAN PREGNANT WOMEN FLOAT?

Absolutely, the benefits are most notable in the second and third trimester. The water is 35.5 degrees, no fear of overheating. The Magnesium in the Epsom Salts is absorbed by the skin providing countless benefits. The gravity free environment alleviates the pressure the baby creates on the mother's body. Always check your specific pregnancy circumstances with you health practitioner before you float.

I'M CLAUSTROPHOBIC CAN I FLOAT?

Most individuals who are claustrophobic have no problems with floating. The pods are quite spacious, lids can be kept open. After a couple of sessions most floaters with this condition find they are comfortable and float with the lid closed. If there is a problem you can get out at anytime, or push the emergency button for assistance.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FALL ASLEEP?

You will sleep, continue to float and upon waking feeling amazing!

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM?

No there is only 6 inchs of water and 600kg of Epsom Salts in each pod this creates the same buoyancy as the dead sea. It is impossible not to float once you lay back. Nature takes over and there is nothing for you to do but be present and relax.

IS THERE ANYONE WHO SHOULDN'T FLOAT?

Anyone suffering from the following is advised not to float for their own safety:

  • Epilepsy

  • Extreme low blood pressure

  • Contagious disease

  • Infectious skin conditions

  • Open wounds

  • Severe Skin Conditions; Psoriasis / Eczema

  • Infectious Illness

  • Diarrhoea or Gastroenteritis until up to 14 days after the final symptom.

Anyone with the following conditions is advised to check with their health practitioner prior to floating:

  • Heart condition

  • Asthma

  • Allergies to; Salts / Bromine / Magnesium

  • Psychosis

HOW IS THE WATER MAINTAINED?

After each session, the whole body of water cycles through a filtration system containing UV lamps and a micron filter 4-6 times. The water is also treated with a small amount of chlorine in line with health regulations and the 600kg’s of Epsom Salts dissolved in the water acts as a natural disinfectant. We test and balance the water after every float.

HOW DO I ASK FOR ASSISTANCE IF REQUIRED WHILE FLOATING?

Each pod is fitted with an emergency button on the left hand side. A staff member will attend promptly to assist you.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Yes, floaters must be 16 years or over, individuals under this age will require parental consent and supervision.

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?

No. other than the size of the pod which is 2624mm long and 1771mm wide, alongside the individual's ability to enter the pod. We have had individuals up to 160kg’s float comfortably.

HOW LONG DOES EACH FLOAT LAST?

Each float lasts approximately 1 hour (including changing and showering time)

CAN GIFT VOUCHERS BE PURCHASED ON LINE?

Yes, online gift vouchers give you the option to personalise your gift voucher to suit the occasion. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They will become void after this time.
